The library was truly amazing.
Vera had amassed a collection of books regarding elementalism, but it was nothing compared to the number of them in this library. She took a book from the shelf reverently, flipping through it. It was a rare book; she had searched for one like it for years to no avail. It was probably the last of its kind, explaining the system of elements that had been the predecessor to the classical one.
Yet here it was, sitting among the shelves next to equally rare books. That made her angry. Didn't the librarian realize just how valuable those tomes were? They contained knowledge that students shouldn't be given access to, and to place them in such a public location was tantamount to inviting students to abuse them.
Perhaps she would have a conversation with the librarian about that later. For now, she would just read as much as she could. Heading for a table, she sat down and began to read.
