Class A Dogma

Dogma wanders onto the field and scans the area. He sniffs in disapproval at the training pitch. It was much too flat, no actual combat ground is ever so level or for that matter clean-cut.

Dogma withdrew his mighty blade brought it high into the air nd slammed it into the ground, the resulting shockwave, terraformed the landscape into a hilly dirt-covered mass.

'Heh.', he thought to himself, 'let's give them a little obstacle course to run.'.

''Are teachers allowed to train and learn?'' Sasoriza shouted from the other side of the pitch after watching teh weapons teacher turn it into a obstacle course from the depths of hell.

She always carried her weapons with her, her tophat and knives, but she knew how to fight with other weapons. Though probably not as well as the teacher, and that was why she was here...to learn from another.

''If not I'll just watch.''

"Very well." Dogma said as he approached the Healing Teacher, whom he recognized walking into school this morning. He absentmindedly gauged her strength and stopped approximately 10 feet away from her.

"Of course teachers to not fit into the category of students and thus have no set schedule or set extracurricular activities. In light of that, you may choose what kind of exercise you may take part in.".

''Well I hardly think it would be fair if I chose to opt out of all the hard-work and it wouldn't set a very good example for the students now!'' She laughed lightly, but part of her kept examining the field before her...checking the advantage and disadvantage point...where an ambush could be place...or equally received...the type of groung...and so on.

Sasoriza could tell that he was gaging her capibility, but found a lot of the time most people underestimated her. But she allowed him to make his judgement on her, and she started to make one on him.

Alyss looked at the piece of paper in her hand that gave instructions of where to go for the first combat lesson. Looking up she smiled...it was most definately the combat lesson. It looked like a min-replica of the Grand Canyon, or something to the effect of...she wondered if it was reversible and if the headmistress was going to be best pleased at the site of the pitch. Still that was none of her buisness.

As she walked forward she saw another person was there already, the healing teacher. She didn't know teachers could take part in lessons...but it was certainly pleasant enough to see her. The man, most obviously the combat teacher she did not know. ''Greetings both I am Alyss, any chance I may join the class?'' She directed the second part towards the man, keeping walking forward as she did so until she was half-way between both him and Sasoriza.

Sasoriza smiled at Alyss and wondered how well she was at fighting and combat. She had met the student earlier in Aswanii Village and had taken a liking to her...not that she was going to be biased at all.

''Hello Alyss, this is Dogma the combat teacher...'' She let the man introduce himself for the rest, it was his class!

Though the introduction did not come, Dogma pursued, "Well if you have no intent in choosing a course, then I will choose one for you.". Dogma grabbed the hilt of the mighty sword and wrenched it from the ground, the force of the tremor shook a tower of mud and clay into the air, with Dogma standing on top.

"This is how my lessons will continue, you will not learn the true nature of your assignment, until after you complete it, I will give you the rules, but YOU must figure out the best way to handle it, and only I know what that is. Figure it out and you pass, don't and you will fail. Now.".

Dogma flashed his sword in the sun, but the golden sword's edge produce a brilliant gleam of light that blinded them.

"The rocky terrain that I have made can be used to any such advantage. Defense, Offense, or Concealment. Find me and disarm me to pass the class. Begin."

And with that, as they unshielded their eyes he was gone.

Dogma did not seem the type to be overly-sociable or keen on polite introductions as many werem but that all the more added to the ruthless charm and unique personality that made Sasoriza take a liking to him in a way that she couldn't as of yet properly explain in words.

She didn't look away as his sword obscured him from view and found herself thinking how useful such a weapon would be in true battle. But the rest of her unsettling mind was hard at work deciphering his words and left no more room for any mroe stray thoughts. Sasoriza was determined to not fail...or determined to pass, it depended on your view of looking at things.

After his hiding Sasoriza gave Alyss a nodd that told her that they were to work together to achieve this. For alone they were hardly a match for the highly trained...or exceptionally naturally gifted man, but together they could be fairly formidable. Not speaking or making a sound would also be vital, for that would be like handing over every plan they came up with...and she could see that Alyss knew this too.

Sasoriza was like a hunter is posture as she walked over to Alyss, placing her faithful top-hat firmly on her head from where it would never move unless she moved it, and pulling out her knives. This was going to be interesting to say the very least.

Suddenly the earthly mound shuddered and layers of dirt rose from the ground to form a massive 3-tier arena with many pillars and many places to hide. As Sasoriza and Alyss found their positions in the maze, Dogma watched with interest from a distance. The Maze was laid out that every room was open to the west and from there Dogma could sit on a nearby rooftop and watch their tactics in searching for him, if they both reached the central chamber of the arena he could easily barrage the entire area with dark blasts with no chance of escape, he had a knack for planning and strategy from the beginning of any fight and he always had multiple defenses to back him up whenever they attacked.

As they wandered about the maze, Dogma continued create a small cloud of darkness to surround him.

Alyss stood next to Sasoriza and thought quickly of an idea to find Dogma. It seemed that all the doors were opened to the West, so doing a systematic search would enable them to find him. If only there were more than just two of them, it would make things so much more easier. But then again combat wasn't meant to be using the easy option now was it.

Alyss took off her heavy coat and layed it on the ground taking a loaded pistol out of the pocket and putting it in a holster on her hip. The coat would just get in the way, and at least she would find it again here. Also she found a pile of weapons ready for the other class leasons, looking through quickly she chose a mace with a large flat side for defence and a sharp spiky side for attack. It would do.

Nodding towards Sasoriza they started their search for the man, moving quickly and quietly through each rooms. Never far away from each other, the furthest two or so rooms. Keeping her thoughts collected they were starting to make their first steps to finding the man.

Next Dogma continued to create a shimmering cloud of light, immediately next to the dark mist he had previously made. He moved his hand through them and they swirled around his hands as if attracted to them.

Sasoriza worked well with Alyss, and using her healing powers she could sense body temperatures and heat patterns and always knew where she was. It was like having a mini screen in your head which was tracking where she was, though she was never far away.

Looking up she saw a change in the shadow mist, it was being accompanied by a light one. Running over to Alyss she came up with an idea.

''I would almost certainly say that he is controlling those mists, so the direction they are heading will be the direction he is.'' Smiling she set off following the mist, she had no other ideas as of yet and hoped hers was the right one. They were running fast now, hoping to catch the man.

"Checkmate".

Dogma withdrew his sword and bathed it in the mist. The dancing shadows and refracting light seemed to absorb into the blade. With the mists fully absorbed and Cataclysm glittering a brilliant gold, he raised the sword up high and brought it down with a mighty blow.
However the result was far less spectacular. A small fissure issued from the blade, but that was it. They both expected more of Dogma, and right they were when the sky became dark and overcast, as they squinted into the darkness they noticed small shadows moving in the sky. And only Dogma could see that the small shadows as they fell were moving closer and closer to Sasoriza and Alyss's position.
SHIINK!!
They looked to their right in time to dodge a sword which embedded itself into the ground where they previously stood. They looked back to the shrouded sky, now knowing what was going to hit them.
